My name is Alex Meehan, and I’m a journalist and writer working out of Dublin, Ireland. I’ve always been interested in food and cooking, and I occasionally write professionally about food and culinary matters.
Because I write about other things as well (arts, literature, technology etc) I thought I’d set up a blog just for food-related topics. I use Well Fried Onions to bring together my professionally published food articles, as well as recipes of my own and things I’ve found online that are interesting. Why Well Fried Onions? Because that’s the basis of 90 per cent of the flavour of the foods I love. Oh, and while I’m not a chef, the picture above has an interesting story behind it.
